The 2010 Australian Society of Anaesthetists National Scientific Congress will be held in the beautiful city of Melbourne on 2 - 5 October.

Anaesthetists who attend the 2010 Congress will benefit from the scientific program content and thoroughly enjoy the social activities but more importantly, will take away new knowledge within this important medical field.

Invitation from the Organising Committee

The National Scientific Congress of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists will be the only mainland national conference in 2010, and it is to be held in the beautiful city of Melbourne.

The NSC is to be held at the brand new Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, on the banks of the Yarra River as part of a new development linking Southbank to Docklands, areas rich in restaurants and dining venues and entertainment. You will not have to wander far to enjoy world renowned sporting venues, live theatre, major art exhibitions and music.

An experienced scientific committee led by Associate Professor David A. Scott, will present an excellent scientific programme around the theme of Skills and Technology. This will feature renowned international and local speakers, as well as workshops and PBLD’s on a wide range of topics.

The organising committee is broad in its representation, aiming at catering for trainee, GP, specialist and retired anaesthetists.

Of course all good meetings, rely on their delegates for their success and as such your participation is essential. I look forward to seeing you in Melbourne for what promises to be an outstanding NSC in 2010.

Renald Portelli, Convenor, Organising Committee, NSC Melbourne, 2010.
